Who we are
Linux Beginner (linuxbeginner.org) is an educational website providing Linux tutorials and guides for beginners. Contact: antoine@cqmi.ca.
What data we collect
We collect minimal data:
- Contact form submissions: name, email, message. Used only to reply to your inquiry. Processed via Formspree (formspree.io).
- Server logs: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited. Standard web server logs, retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.
- Analytics: if we use analytics in the future, we will update this policy and use privacy-first tools (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. No cookie consent banner is needed because we don't set any tracking cookies.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts: we load fonts from Google's CDN, which may log your IP. Alternatively, you can disable external fonts in your browser.
- Formspree: contact form submissions are processed by Formspree. See their privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- Netlify: the website is hosted on Netlify, which may collect access logs. See netlify.com/privacy.
